First single/album you ever bought? The first 45" I have a memory of buying is the Birdie Song by the Tweets. The B side, Mellow Terrain, is an underrated disco banger. For the purposes of my reputation though, can we say Duran Duran's The Reflex instead?!
The first gig or concert you went to? The earliest one I remember is a Cilla Black gig in Scarborough, where she sang to my dad Barrie! I think Trevor and Simon, and possibly Orville, might have been there too.
One song you never get tired of? Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy. It's a masterpiece.
If you could interview any music legend (alive or gone), who would it be? Phil Collins, without a doubt. I've read his book, and what a life he's had! I've admired him musically from a very young age, something which got me some ribbing at the age of 10 or 11, when most of my friends were listening to 'cooler' music. I think his songs have stood the test of time far better than most from the mid to late '80s.
Guilty pleasure song you secretly love? Would Steps count as a guilty pleasure? I love everything they've released! I love a bit of Vengaboys too.
What's your go-to karaoke track? The last one I 'performed' was Creep by Radiohead at a Halloween karaoke night. It was probably more scary than The Shining. I guess I'd probably go for Boom Shake The Room these days, as I wouldn't have to sing, and I still know all the words to the rap.
Favourite Lincolnshire landmark or place to visit? I'm a huge fan of being by the sea and watching the waves, so anywhere on the Lincolnshire coast for me ; Mablethorpe with a chippy tea, even in the winter, sounds good!
Red Arrows, tractors, or sausages - what screams "Lincolnshire" to you most? All of the above, plus stunning scenery, friendly people and of course a rather fine local radio station!
Lincolnshire hidden gem people should know about? The massive back garden at Steve Orchard's house! It's got several waterfalls, a swimming pool, and a crazy golf course. It's amazing!
Favourite Lincolnshire saying / phrase you've heard? 'Scrumps' rather than the correct word, scraps, at the chippy.
Tea or coffee to start the day? Coffee, always. I have two coffee machines at home, and am fairly crabby until I've had my third cup (usually before 7am). Bad coffee makes me sad, though. I can drink it black or white, with or without sugar, but black & rocket fuel strength is my preference!
What would you be doing if you weren't on the radio? Goodness knows. I collected business rates and worked in finance briefly after leaving university, but I didn't really understand what I was doing. I'd probably open a huge bubble bath shop to rival Lush, and offer cut price Mr Matey with every purchase. I've just bought a house that doesn't have a bath, so I could just have a bath at work instead!
One thing people might be surprised to learn about you? My feet are two and a half sizes different. And I've never seen a Star Wars, Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter movie.
What's always in your car glovebox? Sweets, pens that don't work, and my wallet. Rarely gloves.
Early bird or night owl? Both, although I'm trying to start going to bed at a sensible time, as I'm always awake before 5am!
Best piece of advice you've ever been given? Treat people as you'd like to be treated. Be humble, be kind, work hard, and try and be a decent human.
Your three desert island essentials? (Not radio related!) A solar-powered Kindle with all of the books I've bought and not got round to reading yet downloaded onto it, my comfy chair that I got for my 40th birthday & a jacuzzi. I'm all about comfort and relaxation!
