More Information (Lincs Sound is not responsible for external websites)

In 2023, Lincoln LocalMotion and Climate Hope Lincoln invited Rob Shorter from the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) to the University of Lincoln to share Doughnut Economics (DE) with us.

Maybe you were one of the eighty plus people who attended?

During this event in 2023 the Doughnut identified 4 Clusters for our place 1) Access to Nature, 2) Marginalised Voices, 3) Better Business & Social Enterprise & 4) Community Engagement.

Between 14th to 17th October inclusive we’ll be taking a closer look at all four clusters across four days of in person sessions at Mint Lane Wellbeing Hub LN1.
Welcome to Global Doughnut Days (GDD) Lincoln 2025.

We have a host of inspirational speakers & facilitators across the four days.

Join us for the day as Jack Good from Reuseabox & Tim Grigg from EarthLincs CIC share the stories behind their businesses & take a closer look at the United Nations goals for sustainability & inner development. How can local business align & grow with these goals in our place. What helps & what hinders?

Friday 17th
Climate Hope Lincoln are pleased to announce Paul Chibeba from Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust will be joining GDD on Friday 17th to explore Access to Nature & Community Engagement. Paul’s role within the Trust is to lead on Public Engagement & Communications & Climate Hope are pleased he’s able to join us & Rebekah Gibbins for a meaningful final day of GDD Lincoln 2025.
Rebekah helped plan this year’s BioBlitz at the University of Lincoln & has recently completed her master’s degree in Biodiversity, Conservation and Nature Recovery. Rebekah is passionate about Citizen Science and engaging with local schools, exploring Nature positive themes with the young people and empowering them to be the difference in their community.
Access to Nature & Community Engagement are two important topics to bring the week to a close & consider our next steps going forward. Nature is important for our wellbeing but we’ll also consider access to Nature for hedgehogs & co-creating more Hedgehog Highways in Lincoln. Asking important questions such as ‘how can we help Nature’s Recovery now.’
Climate Hope Lincoln are grateful to Lincoln LocalMotion & the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) for funding to enable GDD to go ahead.
Tickets are on sale at a price we hope is accessible. Funds from ticket sales will enable us to hold more community events in 2026. If you have any difficulty with costs please get in touch, no questions asked our intention is for GDD to be inclusive. Please visit https://climatehopelincoln.org For links, information & updates!
