Felted Poppy Picture with Free Motion Embroidery Workshop

Create a beautiful mixed media A4 sized picture with textures and colours that we associate with a field of poppies.

We’ll begin with a demonstration on painting the calico fabric background. This will give us a base to work with. Learn to needle felt layers of colourful merino wool. The background with have colour and text to enhance and bring the landscape to life.

After lunch learn how to set up your sewing machine for free motion embroidery. Lear how to add free motion embroidery details using metallic threads that will add both shimmer & detail.
