Day of Lincolnshire Folk Returns for Its 16th Annual Celebration of Music, Dance, Poetry and Community
Sunday 2 August 2026 | 11am until dusk | Leadenham House, LN5 0PU | FREE ENTRY
One of Lincolnshire's most loved cultural events is set to return this summer as the 16th Annual Day of Lincolnshire Folk takes place on Sunday 2 August 2026 in the beautiful grounds of Leadenham House.
What began in 2009 with just a handful of performers in a pub yard has grown into one of the county's largest celebrations of folk culture, attracting thousands of visitors and showcasing the remarkable breadth of Lincolnshire's musical and artistic talent.
This year's event features an impressive 77 half-hour concert performances delivered by 46 acts and around 100 musicians, alongside poets, circus performers, singarounds, tune sessions, dance displays, artisan stalls, food and drink.
Visitors can enjoy performances across six stages, including the established Stables Stage, Terrace Stage, Four Counties Stage, Great Acoustics Stage in Leadenham Church, and the Entrancing Stage at the main entrance. New for 2026 is an additional acoustic venue at the nearby coffee shop The Pheasantries, offering an intimate setting for live music throughout the day.
Among the many performers appearing are Vikki Clayton, Winter Wilson, The Rye Sisters, Harry Li, Dave Fletcher and Lenton Tymens, alongside more than 40 leading Lincolnshire folk acts.
Traditional dance will also be represented by local favourites Kesteven Morris and Rattlejag Morris, while visitors can browse a wide range of artisan stalls and enjoy a packed programme of music, song, dance and poetry.
Perhaps most remarkably, entry to the event remains completely free.
The event is made possible by the generosity and enthusiasm of performers, volunteers, organisers, sponsors and the owners of Leadenham House, all of whom contribute their time and support to ensure the festival remains accessible to everyone.
Organisers hope visitors will not only enjoy the entertainment but also take in the stunning setting. Perched on the Lincolnshire Cliff Edge, the venue offers spectacular views across the Trent Valley, providing a unique backdrop for a day of live music and community celebration.
Parking is available at Leadenham Village Hall for £2 per vehicle. Visitors who enjoy the day will also have the opportunity to make a voluntary donation towards the future of the event.
An organiser for Day of Lincolnshire Folk said:
"Day of Lincolnshire Folk has grown enormously since its beginnings in 2009, but it has never lost the spirit that made it special. Everyone involved does it for the love of folk music, song, dance and poetry. If you've joined us before, we're looking forward to welcoming you back. If this is your first visit, a very warm Lincolnshire welcome awaits."
