The aim is to paint an atmospheric, moody sky over an abstracted landscape, focussing on the sky.
We will be painting on a board covered with oil paper. Some experience with oil and cold wax painting is helpful, but not essential.
Margaret will guide you through blending, layering, and texturing techniques, helping you bring depth and dimension to your artwork.
All materials will be provided
Paints may stain clothing
Aprons will be provided
Tea, coffee & biscuit available throughout the day
Please bring a lunch
Sensible precautions when using paints or chemical products are essential. Asthma sufferers should be aware that fumes from solvents may be present.
About Margaret Bird:
Margaret paints abstracted landscapes in oil and cold wax or acrylics, often with moody skies, focussing more on the impression and feelings of a place than the reality. She was a teacher for many years before retiring to begin a new life as a painter. She is a member of the Lincolnshire Artists Society.
