Abstract Collage Workshop with Fiona Hodges

Join us for a full-day, hands-on workshop exploring the expressive potential of abstract collage.

You will start with creating your own unique collage papers using a range of mixed media techniques—painting, mark-making, and texturing. These papers will become the foundation for your final artwork.

Then we will cover the art of abstract composition. You’ll learn how to approach layout, balance, layering, and contrast. The day concludes with the creation of your own finished abstract or semi-abstract collage using the papers you designed in the morning, along with further papers and images brought by your tutor.

This workshop is suitable for all levels—no previous collage or painting experience is needed.
